Maggie Niver- Johnson—May 29th, 1985- August 5th, 2017—Age 32, of Hector. Daughter, Mother, Sister, Cousin, Niece, Student, Lover of family and friends. Maggie Niver-Johnson passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday August, 5th. She was surrounded by her mother, father, sister, brother, Aunt Pat, Uncle Ken, and her boyfriend, Matthew Boyce with his parents, Nancy and Clifford Boyce. Maggie was a lifelong resident of the Finger Lakes and had been residing in the village of Montour Falls. Maggie was passionate about her family and about others. She was about to enter her third year of Nursing School in the coming weeks and dreamed one day to obtain her R.N. degree. Maggie was a lover, a dreamer, a dancer and a singer. Her happiest moments were when she was surrounded by music, family and friends. She instilled her love of music and dancing in her four year daughter Gabrielle, who frequently requests that we have "a dance party" which always end in a fit of laughter. Maggie was a very loyal friend, mother, sister and daughter. She is survived by her three siblings Anna, Hilary and Jordan; her parents, Bill Niver and Alice Johnson; her boyfriend Matthew Boyce, her grandmother, Gladys Niver; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins; her former husband Travis Johns and the light of their lives, their daughter, Gabrielle May Johns. Maggie will be remembered by those that loved her for many reasons but perhaps most for her ability to make others laugh with her wit and sense of humor. It is this gift of laughter and goodwill that will lift up her daughter and those that cared for this beautiful person as we grieve together. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017, from 3:00 PM to 4:00PM at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the trust fund of Maggie's daughter, Gabrielle May Johns.
