Marie E. "Tody" Hoose, 76, of Odessa, NY passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Saratoga Springs, NY on November 4, 1946 the daughter of the late William and Ellin Bailey. On December 14, 1968, she married Norman Hoose in Barrington, NY. Marie was an LPN at Schuyler Hospital for 24 years, retiring in 2014. She enjoyed collecting Frogs and Egyptian figurines. Marie is survived by her daughter, Christina Hoose of Odessa; two sons, James Hoose (Brian Thompson) of Interlaken, NY and Michael (Melissa) Hoose of Watkins Glen; sister, Donna (Harold) Short of Cameron, NY; two grandchildren, Ryan Barrett and Kayla Waterman; eight great grandchildren; four nephews, Brian Deming, Troy Deming, David Deming and Billy Bailey; and two cousins Leion Wilson and Bobby Wilson. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Hoose; brother, William G. Bailey; nephew, Joseph Bailey; cousin, Kirk Wilson and by her beloved dog, Bubby. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A private burial will be held by the family in Branchport Cemetery.
