Obituary

Marjorie E. Starkweather, 94, of Montour Falls, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born on July 9, 1921, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Edith M. (Coykendall) Carrigan. Marjorie was a member of the Odessa Baptist Church, Women of the Moose in Montour Falls, the Rebekahs, Odessa Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, and a former Girl Scout Leader. She was predeceased by her husband Merle Starkweather; brothers and sister, Gerald and Robert Carrigan, Elaine Anderson, Vera Thomas and Ruth Givin. She is survived by her children, Merle (Jean) Starkweather of Zephyrhills, FL., Carol (Frank) Dudgeon of Cayuta, David (Helen) Starkweather of Montour Falls, Diane Johnson of Cocoa Beach, FL, and Bonnie (Douglas) Schwenn of South Lima, NY; sisters, Helen VanSkiver of Odessa, and Arlene Sherrouse of Lakeland, FL; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Odessa Fire Department.
