Marleigh D. Wood

Marleigh D. Wood, 80, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026. She was born at Myers Hospital, Sodus, NY on August 18, 1945, the daughter of the late Kenneth Lloyd VerHow and Beulah M. DeHond.

Marleigh worked at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility for many years. “Her main passion was taking care of and always being there for her boys. A true mother!”

Marleigh is survived by her loving sons, Mark (Tammy) Wood, Terry (Jennifer) Wood, and Christopher Wood; beloved sister, Joselyn of Columbus, OH; her treasured grandchildren, Victoria, Alexzandria, Zac, Zoey, Matthew; and many nieces and nephews.

Marleigh’s family would like to thank all the nurses, CNA’s and doctors from Schuyler Hospital, Arnot Ogden Hospital and Seneca View Nursing Facility for keeping her close to family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held privately by the family.
