Mary E. Glick

Mary E. Glick, age 63, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Cayuga Medical Center. Mary was born on July 11, 1963 in Corning, NY to the late John B. and Betty V. (Linderman) Glick.

Mary attended Bradford Central School and later attended Corning Community College. She was a waitress for most of her working career, and a well-known member of the staff at Curly’s Family Restaurant in Watkins Glen. She attended the Monterey Baptist Church in her younger years. Mary enjoyed being around her family and friends, was always up for a good game of Solitaire, and was also known for rescuing dogs and then showering them with love. Mary also loved music, Grateful Dead being her favorite band.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, John W. Glick; sister, Linda L. Button; and a brother-in-law, Douglas C. Lovelace.

She is survived by her children, Christie (Alex) Noviello and Shawn Carlineo, Jr. (Tashia Malchow); beloved grandchildren, Ashton Noviello and Amiya Noviello; siblings, Beth A. Lovelace and James A. (Alice) Glick; sister-in-law Mary V. Glick; along with several nieces and nephews, many 'adopted' children over the years, Greg, and her beloved rescue dog Timmy, all who had love for her.

The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Cayuga Medical Center ICU – you will forever remain in our hearts, and we are forever thankful for your compassion, love and support during these difficult times.

Per Mary’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Memorial donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Schuyler County Humane Society, 124 Marina Rd., Montour Falls, NY 14865. Arrangements are under the direction of Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, Montour Falls, NY.
