IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Lou
Kulp
November 30, 1945 – December 4, 2025
Mary Lou Cross Kulp, 78, of Corning, New York, passed away on December 4, 2025, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will miss her always.
Born and raised in Corning, Mary Lou was the daughter of Helen and Stanley Cross. She graduated from Corning East High School, in 1964. Corning was always home to her—even when she wasn't living there. It was a place where she built her life, raised her family, and formed lasting friendships.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Kulp, whom she loved dearly and missed greatly, and her brother, Richard (Diane) Cross.
Mary Lou is survived by her brother, Bill (Sheryl) Cross of Conway, AK and her beloved children, Laura Tuttle, Sharon (Mike) Upham, Andrew Tuttle II, and John (Johanna) Tuttle, and the heart of a growing family that included grandchildren Alyssa McCaslin, Nicole Saik, Jessica (Jordan) Mortimer, Mikel (Bridget) Upham II, Alicia (James) Shutts, and Haley and Madison Tuttle, and great-grandchildren Kayden McCaslin, Jameson Arnold, Jaxton Mortimer, and Adelyn and Isla Upham. She is also survived by many extended family members and close friends, including her husband Robert's siblings, children and grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater joy than time spent with her family and friends.
Mary Lou enjoyed her time as a manager at the Corning Pudgies, providing in-home childcare to friends and family, cleaning homes, and being a stay-at-home wife.
She loved the simple joys of everyday life: a good book, a great bargain while antiquing or yard sailing, redecorating, coffee with friends, and dancing whenever the music called for it. She especially enjoyed her Saturday morning phone calls with her brother Bill and "Sista" Sheryl, where they shared coffee and prayers.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Bethany Village and Bampa's House, whose compassion and care meant so much during Mary Lou's final days.
A private celebration of life will be held, honoring Mary Lou's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Bampa's House, PO Box 965, Corning, NY 14830.
