Michael R. "Mike" Magura, or "Uncle Mike", 68, of Elmira Heights, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Mike had been battling cancer with his sister by his side. He was a courageous man who loved the outdoors, biking, family outings and holidays. He worked in factories until retiring, then when on to work at Bethany Manor until he was diagnosed with cancer. He leaves behind his brother, Tim Magura; sister, Kathy (Wayne) Shaffer; and by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and June Magura, and by his younger brother Gary. He also leaves behind his friend "Tawnie". Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Montour Cemetery, Mill St., Montour Falls. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
