Myron C. Beardsley, 91, of 7776 State Route 92, Interlaken, died on Sunday, November 4, 2018, six days shy of his 92nd birthday. Myron attended Interlaken Central School. He was a dairy and cash crop farmer all of his life. He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Daniel) Baker of Richford, NY; son, Mark C. Beardsley of Interlaken; four grandchildren, Ben (Natalie) Baker, William (Karin) Baker, Evan Baker, and Meredith (Casey) Williams; and great granddaughter, Tessa Baker. He was predeceased by his wife, Jane (Akins) Beardsley and by a stepson, Robert G. Burns. Myron was a member of the Ovid Grange #155 and later the Interlaken Grange #160. He was a former board member of the Ovid Town Board of Assessment Review, former President and board member of the South Seneca Board. He was on the Hector Grazing Board of Directors, and an active trustee of the Ovid Historical Society. He was a life member of the Ovid Center Baptist Church and currently attended Searsburg Community Church. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:30 am-12:00 pm at the Searsburg Community Church. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm with Ben Baker officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Ovid Historical Society, P.O. Box 77, Ovid, NY 14521 or the Searsburg Community Church, 5719 Searsburg Rd., Trumansburg, NY 14886.
