Norman B. Covert, 78, of Burdett, passed away on December 15, 2019. He was born in Montour Falls on December 24, 1940 the son of the late LeRoy and Leone (Clyde) Covert. Norman enjoyed mechanics, hunting, nature, and driving the dirt roads of Hector. He is survived by two sons, Norman B. Covert, II of Rochester and Brian K. Covert of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Nichole A. Covert (Gregory) of E. Syracuse; two brothers, Stanley Covert of Trumansburg and Roger Covert of Corning; four grandchildren, Biagio, Sarah, Emily and Hannah; many nieces and nephews; and by longtime companion, Ruth Carlisle. He was predeceased by his brothers, Roy "Buddy" Covert, Robert "Tom" Covert and Richard "Dick" Covert. Services will be held privately by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
