Norman Gales, 77, of Montour Falls, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Seneca View Nursing Home where he resided for the past 13 years. Norman was born April 9, 1938 in Dexter, MO. He graduated in 1956 and spent four years in the Army. Norman worked at Shepard Niles and was bookstore owner in Watkins Glen, NY. He is survived by his children, Carl (Renee) Gales of Kansas, Robin (Frank) Woodard & JoAnne Gales of W. Virginia, Kim Gales of Minnesota; sisters Peggy, Pauline, Joan & Maxine of Missouri; and many special nieces, nephews and their families. A special thank you to the staff of Seneca View for caring for Norman for many years. In keeping with Normans wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes spread in Missouri where he was born. Arrangements are under the direction of Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
