Rabecka Lou Sheldranti

Rabecka Lou Sheldranti, aka Rhea E Thorpe Serefine, passed away on January 7, 2026 in Naples, Florida.

Born on September 7, 1960 in Montour Falls, New York, she was the youngest child of Bernard Thorpe and Evelyn (Lois) Terwilliger Thorpe.

Rabecka attended school in Watkins Glen and lived locally for many years before moving out of state, settling in Naples, Florida.

Rabecka was survived by her son, Sheldon Serefine (Lindsay Martin) of Troutman, North Carolina, and her siblings Roberta Thorpe of Burdett, NY, Charlotte Bond of Hector, NY who passed away on April 5, 2026, Lola Ray of Watkins Glen, NY, Bill Thorpe of Pearcy Arkansas, Jay (Virginia) Thorpe of McConnells, South Carolina, Sue Olevnik of Watkins Glen, NY, sister-in-law, Sharon Thorpe of Corning NY, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by both parents, Bernard and Evelyn, brothers Wayne E. Thorpe, Marvin L Thorpe, Larry L Thorpe; sisters, Laura J Kent, Pearl E Champion; and several in-laws.

In accordance with Rabecka’s wishes, her remains were cremated and her ashes will be distributed at a place of her choosing in Florida. There will be no services.
