Rachel E. Cleary, 32, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and most recently of Watkins Glen, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2015, after a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. She is survived by her mother, Christine Cleary of Oregon; grandparents, Ed Peters of Oklahoma, Mary Ann and Jack Cleary of Montour Falls; her devoted aunt and uncle, Theresa and Ted Siri of Watkins Glen; special aunts and uncles, John (Kathy) Cleary of Elmira, Patrick and Deedy Cleary of Albuquerque, NM, and Carol Tallent of New Mexico, Kelly (Rodney) Iles of Austin, Texas; and by several cousins, nurses, cystic fibrosis friends, and friends new and old. She was predeceased by her father Ron Tallent, her grandmother, Marion Cleary Peters, and by her aunt Mary Cleary. Rachel was a great advocate and spokesperson for the cystic fibrosis community. There will be a graveside service held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Montour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
