Rebecca E. Thompson joined the lord on Wednesday February 28 ^th 2024 at the age of 68. Rebecca will be dearly missed by her children: Michelle Congdon (Art), Casey Doane, Mia Somers (Eric), Kyle Cox, Megan Scardina (Andrew) and Alexandra Thompson. She took great pride in her 15 grandkids and great grandson. Rebecca is also survived by her brothers Robert Lewis (Zandra) and Jack Lewis (Joann) and sister Julie Rinker (Larry) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Fannie Lewis and brother Tom Lewis.

Rebecca was born in Montour Falls on August 14 ^th 1955 and spent the majority of her life in Watkins Glen. A devoted and hard worker, she was a part of the Savard's family restaurant for over 20 years as well as feeding the folks at the Falls home. Her love of food, especially baking, made anyone who stepped into her home feel more than welcome. Even if you weren't a life-long Cowboys fan like her, Rebecca would still welcome you with the most kind and compassionate heart. All she ever asked for was world peace. Her bright smile and contagious laugh will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
