Rita A. Osborne, 65, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Montour Falls on September 11, 1950, the daughter of the late Clyde and Dorothy (DeGraw) Rudy and graduated from Odessa-Montour High School in 1968. Rita worked as an aide and a cook at Schuyler Hospital for 18 years, and later was Deputy Town Clerk with the Town of Reading for 9 years. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Catharine. She was very involved with the Montour Moose Lodge for many years and was a member of the WOTM Chapter 1401. She is survived by he husband, Warren E. Osborne; daughters, Denise (Howard) Sarro and Tammy Lynn Osborne; two brothers, Gary(Karen) Rudy and Maurice Rudy; grandson, Aiden Michael Sarro; and several nieces and nephews. Rita always had an open heart and home and had many surrogate children and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Rita's life at Noon on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Montour Moose Lodge, State Route 14, Montour Falls. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rita's memory to the Moose Heart Charities, 2096 State Route 14, Montour Falls.
