It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Bradley on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 93.
Bob was born on January 19, 1933, in Elmira, to Theodore and Eleanor (Wrigley) Bradley, the seventh of nine children. In the 1940s, his family moved from Bradley Farms on Elmira’s Southside to a smaller farm in Montour Falls. It was there that Bob thrived as a student-athlete in the Odessa-Montour Central School District, earning 13 varsity letters during his high school career. In recognition of his exceptional athletic accomplishments, he was inducted into the district’s Athletic Hall of Fame on October 6, 2000.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War as a Tactical Communications Operator, an experience that remained a source of pride throughout his life.
Following his return home, Bob began his career with “Ma Bell,” working for New York Telephone until his retirement in 1992. He was deeply involved in his community, serving as Past Master of Myrtle-Jefferson Masonic Lodge #131. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion, the Mechanics Club, and the Moose Lodge.
Bob found great joy in his love of John Deere farm tractors and took pride in the collection he built over the years. More than anything, he was known for his kind heart, steady presence, and remarkable knowledge. He was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, and neighbors—ready to answer the call for any project that needed his expertise.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his children, Dale (Sonnie) Bradley, Dan (Sherie) Bradley, Donna (Tom) Taber, Nora Barnett-Jordan, Brian (Keri) Barnett, and Loren (Nichole) Barnett; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and another great-grandson expected to arrive in March.
In accordance with Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
Arrangements are under the directions of Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, Montour Falls, NY. To leave the family a message of condolence, please visit www.vedderscottzinger.com
