Robert E. DeGraw, 82, of Montour Falls, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019. He was born in Erin, New York on May 28, 1937, the son of the late LeRoy and Gladys (Gee) DeGraw. Bob owned Valley Contracting in Montour Falls for many years. He later retired from Akzo Nobel Salt Company in Watkins Glen. In his retirement he had a bicycle repair shop. Bob loved working with wood and on carpentry projects. He also enjoyed mowing his lawn. Surviving are his daughters, Laura Sopp of Elmira Heights, Linda Leonard of Horseheads, and Sherry (Doug) Habbershaw of Montour Falls; two sisters, Dora and Beatrice; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Susie DeGraw on April 30, 2010 and by his son Mike (Larry) DeGraw on October 25, 2018. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 2-4 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. His funeral service will follow. Burial will be at Montour Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Schuyler Ambulance, 909 S.
