Robert E. Gauck, 60, of Montour Falls, left this life to be with his beloved daughter, Melinda, and wife Debra on Monday, May 30, 2016. Also, his parents, Eugene F. and Ester (Dimmick) Gauck preceded him. Rob leaves his loving daughter, Jessica (Chris) Sokira; son Jason (Kristie) Gauck; the prides of his life-grandchildren, Hailey, Brooke, and Jason Gauck, and Owen and Gwendolyn Sokira; beloved sister, Gwen (Gregg) Ruvolo; brothers, Gerald and John (Mari) Gauck; his children's mother, Katherine( Ash) Mauler; many loving nieces and nephews; a faithful companion Linda; and his best pal "Buddy". Robert served in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Austin (LPD-4). He was a very loyal Harley-Davidson enthusiast and an avid NY Yankees fan. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 5-7 pm at the Watkins Glen Elks Lodge, 300 N. Madison Ave., Watkins Glen. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery, Elmira (Mt. Zoar St. entrance). His final rest will be at the side of his beloved wife Debra. Remembrances may be made to the Humane Society of Schuyler County.
