Ronald Lohmann, 78 of Newfield, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at home. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on October 8, 1942, the son of Eigil Lohmann and Maria Jez. Ron married his wife, Sharon, on May 12, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. Ron moved from Copenhagen to the United States when he was 26 years old. He worked in various retail stores including W.T. Grant and Grand Jewels, as buyer or manager for many years. He was a printer and manager for W.L. Coughtry, Inc. in Albany for 25 years before it sold. Ron then became a school bus aide at Mohonasen Central School, retiring in 2016. Ron was an avid New York Rangers and Minnesota Vikings fan. He enjoyed traveling and reading several newspapers every day. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sharon (Herforth) Lohmann; two daughters, Tanya (Shawn) Warlik of Rotterdam, NY and Stephanie (Ben) Yauchler of Delanson, NY; stepchildren, Melanie Voorheis, Laura (Paul) Landphair, Nathanial (Michelle) Voorheis and Logan (Amanda) Voorheis; and eleven grandchildren. A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the home of Stephanie Yauchler, 1443 Mudge Rd., Delanson, NY 12053.
