Russell King, 49, of Montour Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at home. Russell was born in Brampton, Ontario on May 1, 1969 and moved to the United States with his family in 1998.

Russell is survived by his parents John and Lorna King and his sister Kelly King of Montour Falls, NY and his brother Bradley King, his wife Jing and their 2 children of Alameda, California.

Russell was kind, gentle and caring and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and remained an ardent fan of the Carolina Tar Heels basketball team. He had a great sense of humor, could converse knowledgeably on almost any topic and was often found at his computer. For the last several months he had been working to renovate a historic house in Montour Falls.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Watkins Glen, 520 North Decatur Street, Watkins Glen. His funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm followed by a reception at the church. Burial will be in Montour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
