Scott Parlett, 53, of Reynoldsville, NY, entered unto rest on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Cayuga Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.

He was born in Montour Falls, NY on April 14, 1971 the son of Edward and Ruth Parlett, Jr. and attended Watkins Glen High School. On October 10, 2018, he married his his wife Kay in Reynoldsville, NY. Scott was an Admin/Photographer for SPPIX on Facebook and was a professional driver. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Scott's hobbies included fishing, boating, mechanics and traveling. He loved auto & kart racing. He enjoyed his weekends doing what he loved, spending time with his racing family at several race/kart tracks.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Florence Parlett and Edward F. Parlett, Sr., grandmother, Dorothy Grover; and son, Matthew Barber.

Scott is survived by his wife of 5 years, Kay (Spencer) Parlett; daughter, Englund Barber; sons, Shane (Abby) and Marquay; parents, Edward and Ruth Parlett of Reynoldsville; two sisters, Robin Parlett of Reynoldsville and Kimberly Parlett; five grandchildren, Abbey, Oren, Maijor, Maizy, and Meverly Barber; nieces and nephews, Broc (Cindy) VanSkiver, Brad (Courtney) Schoffner and Cheyene Cashady; several aunts and uncles; and by his racing family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at his home, 5123 State Route 227, Reynoldsville, NY.
