Sharon Jean Perry

Sharon Jean (Smith) Perry, 60, of Hector, NY, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Montour Falls, NY on October 13, 1965, the daughter of Laurence Smith and Eleanor Simpson. She graduated from Watkins Glen Central School in 1982.

Over the course of her career, Sharon excelled in retail management for several different companies over several different states.

On June 24, 2015, Sharon married Donald Perry on Chincoteague Island in Virginia. They shared 11 wonderful years together.

Sharon enjoyed gardening, camping, crafts, listening to music and cooking. She loved spending time with family and friends but her absolute favorite thing was spending time with her husband and fur babies, Marlee, Maiya, Winnie, Piper, Luna, Jack and Jill.

Sharon was a Christian who loved her Lord and Savior. She showed that in how she lived her life and how she cared for others.

Sharon is survived by her husband Donald; children, Robert Smith, Amanda Verducci (Matthew); step-daughter, Nicole (Stephen) Plate; sisters, Lori (Joseph) Lepore, Tammy (Greg) Lupini, and Deborah Stevens; brother, Lynn Smith; grandchildren, Olivia, Ariaunna, Amaya, Anthony, Micah, Clara, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Rex Roman; eight nieces and nephews; several cousins and her entire Walmart family. She was predeceased by her parents, Laurence Smith and Eleanor (Paul) Kisner; and one nephew.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 1-3 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm.
