Shirley Wells, 71, of Beaver Dams, NY passed away May 6 after years of battling health conditions. She was born in Montour Falls, NY April 12, 1950 and graduated from Odessa Montour School. She was predeceased by her mother and father Mildred "Milly" and John Davis, as well as her granddaughter Stacey Shrout. Shirley is survived by lifelong companion Basil A. Rhoads; son Andrew Rhoads and daughter in law Diane Shrout; grandson Jay Shrout; two sisters Trudy Brisbois of Millport, NY and Pat Mitstifer of Odessa, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She loved rummaging, road trip adventures, talking for hours on the phone and late night visits with friends. Shirley always loved helping others but never wanted much for herself. Most of all she loved having Friday lunches with her son, he was the light of her life. She will be truly missed and loved. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
