Stanley James Beaver, 80, of Burdett, NY, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kingston, NY on January 24, 1940, the son of the late James and Charlotte (Stoutenburg) Beaver. Stan received his Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture from Cornell University. He was the owner/operator of Stillman's Greenhouse in Montour Falls for forty years. Stan was a Rotarian for many years with the Watkins Montour- Rotary Club. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and golf, but his greatest love was his family, friends and community. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharie Elizabeth (Werick) Beaver; daughter, Laurie (Mark) Guminski of Lakewood, CO; son, Steven (Melanie) Beaver of Watkins Glen; sister, Beverly Markham of Simi Valley, CA; two brothers, Dennis Beaver of Saugerties, NY and Lauren Beaver of Spokane, WA; three grandchildren, Brian Swartwood, Kaitlyn Valla and Spencer Beaver.
