Steven G. Andrews, 69, of Montour Falls, NY passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on November 21, 1951, the son of the late Gerald and Phoebe Andrews. Steve graduated from Odessa-Montour Central School, Class of 1969. After graduation, he served with the United States Navy during Vietnam on the USS Gridley DLG-21. Steve was Chief Gas Fitter for NYSEG for 37 ½ years before retiring in January of 2021. He was a member of the Montour Falls United Methodist Church, the Mechanics Club and the Odessa American Legion. Steve spent much of his spare time hanging out in his garage and detailing his cars. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Jane (Darcangelo) Andrews; two daughters, Nancy (Dave) Ozmon of Schenectady, NY and Kristy (Jeff) Larkin of Rochester, NY; the light of his life, grandson Oliver P. Ozmon; his beloved canine companion, Maggie; and by several cousins. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 am at Montour Cemetery (lower entrance), Mill St., Montour Falls.
