Steven L. Ector, 60, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 after battling ALS. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on July 30, 1963, the son of Joseph and Doris Ector.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Ector; brothers, Charles (Laurie) Ector of Truxton, NY, Randy (Ellen) Ector of Lawrenceburg, IN, Joey (Megan) Ector of Stanwood, WA; brother-in-law, Corky Kent; uncles and aunt, Peter Martin, Max and Wilma Smollen; fifteen nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and life long best friend Lynn Greenwood. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Ector in 1994 and sister, Tina Kent in 2021.

Steven was a 1981 graduate of Watkins Glen High School. He was a carpenter, farmer and later in life worked at Walmart where he enjoyed helping the customers. He loved bowling and was on several teams over the years at "Johnny's Lane" in Watkins Glen.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4:00-5:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 5:00 pm. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Sheldrake, NY. The family will provide flowers. Contributions may be made to the ALS Association. In Steve's memory, buy a packet of seeds and plant a garden.
