Thomas "Tom" George Chase

Age 75 was born in Abington, PA on August 19, 1950. When he left this mortal plain on September 1, 2025, he resided in Montour Falls NY.

He is survived by his beloved son Neal Arron Chase and his wife JoEllen; his older brother Charles Chase and his wife Terry, nieces Liz, Beverly, Beryl, and their children, younger brother George Chase and his wife Debbie, nephew Georgie, and his friend and life partner Linda.

He was predeceased by his loving parents Charles "Bud" Chase and Viola "Vi" Chase and his niece Becky.

Imbedded in Tom's very being was the knowledge that all humans, regardless of label, are worthy of acceptance, dignity, and respect. He was a driver for the ARC of Schuyler, but he was so much more. He was a friend, an advocate, and a fierce defender of all those lucky enough to be on his bus.

Not just passengers, Tom knew his gang were people with wishes, ideas, dreams and talents. This was evidenced by their art work which was proudly displayed on the inside walls of Tom's bus "61"; a simple declaration stating we are individuals, we are human.

So many jokes, so many stories, so many times turning a dull evening at a bar into a party. Tom's gift for levity was a given to his many friends. Among these Keith, Sammy, Mike, Danny, Joann, Brenda and Jack, and Chevy Bob, the many at The Warwick, The Wook, Seneca Lodge, were led by Tom's melodious voice to a truly good time.

Let's remember Tom at the turn table introducing us to some new and wonderful tune we would never have heard without his talent for the good in music.

May all the songs you loved go with you in peace sweet friend; leave your demons behind.

Open your throat Tom Puss and sing your song to eternity!

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 4-6pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 North Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Schuyler County, 124 Marina Dr., Montour Falls, NY 14865.
