Timothy J. Ector

Timothy Jay Ector, 64, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on November 20, 1961, the son of Robert John and Fledra Rose (Parmalee) Ector. Tim attended Watkins Glen High School. On April 14, 1984 he married Starlene J. (Thompson) in Rock Stream, NY.

Tim spent many years as a farmer. He also drove tractor trailer trucks for years all over the United States. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Canasta.

He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Robert James Ector.

Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Starlene Ector; children, Joshua (Stephanie) Ector, Jessica (Richard) Perry, William (Tonya) Ector, Patrick (April) Ector and Travis Ector; grandchildren, Augustus, Kole, Aubriella, Hayden, Starr, Hunter, Robert and Asher; siblings, John Ector, Daniel Ector, Bonnie Rappleye, Holly Ector (Gordy Sherwood), Samuel (Kathy) Ector, and Andrew Ector; and by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 12:00-1:00 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY. His funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Dundee in the spring.
