Obituary

Walter F. Carson, 74, formerly of Trumansburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born in Trumansburg on October 9, 1942, the son of the late Charles C. and Florence (Cook) Carson and graduated from Trumansburg Central School with the class of 1961. Walter was a lifelong dairy farmer, and owned the Locust Lane Farm in Trumansburg. He was an avid collector of model toy tractors and farm equipment. He was predeceased by his parents and his half brothers, Donald Carson and Charles Carson, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Julie (Paul) Radenberg; sons, Kenneth (Joann) Carson, and William (Tammy) Carson; sister, Martha (Dan) Herman; half sister, Betty Coleman; brother, Jack Carson; granddaughters, Rachel, Paige and Arianna Carson; nieces and nephews, Kathy (Edward) Gooding, John Carson, Jacki Carson Barr, and Cheryl, Debbie, Bill and Kevin Herman. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 12-2 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls.
