Wayne A. Osborne, 54, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on February 18, 1964, the son of Dewitt and Elise Osborne. Wayne served in our United States Air Force from 1983-1987. He then became a Corrections Officer, spending 24 years in New York State Department of Corrections. He loved hunting, spending time outdoors and with his family. He is survived by his mother, Elise; his two beautiful daughters, Bernadette and Genevieve Osborne, whom he was exceptionally proud of; his brother, Frank (Andrea) Osborne; nephew, Michael Whiting; and niece, Nicole Osborne. Wayne was predeceased by his father, Dewitt Osborne. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 905 N. Decatur St., Watkins Glen. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. After services have concluded, there will be a reception at the Mechanics Club, 237 W. Main St., Montour Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
