William F. Church, 74, of Montour Falls, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. Bill was born on March 24, 1943, the son of Frank and Viola (Peppard) Church. Bill retired from Shepard Niles. He was a member of the Glen Baptist Church, Burdett United Methodist Church, and The Moreland Grange. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Church, sister, Libby Church, brothers, Richard and Robert Church, and parents Frank and Viola Church. Bill is survived by his daughter, Celesta (Paul) Lindsay of Burdett; sister, Betty Apfel of Tacoma, Washington; granddaughter, Nicole Lindsay; three step grandchildren, Paul Christopher, Joshua, and Justin Lindsay; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 10-11 am at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am followed by burial at Montour Cemetery. Immediately following the burial, there will be a reception at the Burdett United Methodist Church.
