William F. Vonderchek, Sr., 91, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Schuyler Hospital. He was born on February 4, 1924, the son of the late John and Catherine (Novotony) Vonderchek. Bill was predeceased by his wife Verna, a son, Walter, brother, Richard, and daughter-in-law, Marilyn. He is survived by his children, Bill, Jr., Joseph and Larry(June) Vonderchek; sisters-in-law, Martha McCann and Martha Vonderchek; brother, Jim Vonderchek; and sister Rosie Drabic; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
